A vibrant lovely depiction of a street in the town of Biskara, Algeria. The Artist Hartvig Jarlhov (1918-1992) lived in Malmo, Sweden and is known to have travelled widely painting as he went. The colours in this painting are warm and vibrant and the scene is simple yet most appealing. The piece framed measures 27 1/4" x 17 1/2 inches. The frame looks to be from the 1970's but the painting could date to around the 1950's.
