A small 2 3/4" high somewhat battered little candle stick with Silver Hallmarks for Birmingham 1925 and engraved S.S. PATUCA . The Patuca was built in 1913 for the ELDERS & FYFFES LINE. The ship served as an Armed Merchant Cruiser in World War One from December 1914 to May 1918. The ships early career included trips from Bristol to Columbia as a 'Banana Boat' and Passenger carrier. Patuca was scrapped in 1935.
