In beautiful condition for a near 130 year old piece of Scottish Mauchline Ware this Page Turner was manufactured as an advertising or promotional piece for the Eastern Telegraph Company Limited of Old Broad Street, London. The company were responsible for laying telegraphic cables across the World and the blade decoupage depicts a World atlas on both sides showing the cable routes with the handle being a calendar for the year 1890 (six months each side). The piece measures 13 1/4" in length......there is very minor wear on blade edges but overall it is in superb order.
