A 5 1/2" diameter chromed souvenir ashtray with mounted ships anchor including the P & O Lines Crest and CANBERRA. The ship was built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland at a cost of UK £17 million, and was launched on 16 March 1960. The ship was named on 17 March 1958, after the federal capital of Australia, Canberra, and entered service on her maiden voyage on 6th June 1961 and later operated on cruises, in the P&O fleet from 1961 to 1997.....she was in scrapped 1997. Canberra was used in the FALKLANDS WAR in 1982 the refitted after wards for further service.
