Fashioned in wood with brass and metal fittings this piece measures 9 1/2" in length. By squeezing the black metal trigger you raise the guard at the mouth allowing the musket ball to roll out into the musket barrel. The cap at the top end obviously comes off to allow you to load your musket balls. Dates to 18th or early 19th century. Has lovely patina to wood in line with its age.Found in England earlier this year.
