A good quality Victorian sterling silver fruit bowl shaped in the form of a heart. The bowl is beautifully decorated with foliage and flowers. The pierced and embossed decoration is quite sumptuous, all of which is enhanced by the trellis work border.
The fruit bowl is hallmarked for Chester 1899 and comes from the workshop of the family of silversmiths James Deakin & Sons. The bowl measures 10 3/4" by 9 1/4" having a depth of 1 3/4", weighing just over 9 ozs.
