Ruby red mirrored glass and clear mirrored glass make this delicate, draping antique necklace a sparkling treasure. I would date it to about 1910-1915, when Edwardian prettiness and daintiness was still in fashion. Five strands of clear baguette stones are draped below a linked-strand arrangement of round and baguette ruby red stones; these lead to clear stones at the top and a small clasp. All the stones are bright and undamaged, and they retain their clarity of color, none dark or yellow, quite remarkable for a piece of this age. They are backed by silver colored metal which has not been polished. Laid end to end, it measures 15", but your jeweler can easily extend the length if needed. The drape is 2". This necklace would make a welcome gift.
