Distinctive Art Deco galalith and chrome necklace in three colors, teal blue, green and black. Judging from the design, materials and quality of this necklace, I believe it is the work of Jakob Bengel, the German Art Deco modernist of the 1930s. Each of the three half rounds is punctuated through the middle with chrome, and there are four spacer beads. The necklace is lightweight, with a slim silhouette. Jakob Bengel pieces were never signed. This necklace has a clasp marked Platinin (a Deco era metal that was often used on European jewelry), clearly a replacement for the original. Excellent condition, measures 17" end to end and 7/16" at widest.
