Antique early 1900s pendant in 14k yellow gold with a rock crystal, garnets, and seed pearls. It's a stunning necklace, featuring a brilliant clear rock crystal at center, framed by tiny white seed pearls. The complex surround is a tiered, highly dimensional array of open-worked gold ribbons, eight almandine garnets, beading, and a rope-trim edging. Burnished yellow gold coloration give this pendant the look of found buried treasure.
Large at nearly 2" by 1-5/16", the pendant is domed and stands about 1/4" high. The rock crystal stone is 13mm by 9mm and the sparkling violet garnets are 3mm oval. The bail at the back of the pendant is hinged.
I have paired the pendant with a long, 38" gold filled rope chain, doubled, with a dog clip. It's a great match in color and texture. You can use this versatile chain with your other pendants and lockets as well.
The pieces are unmarked but tested, and the condition is terrific with no chips or scratches. A few of the seed pearls are missing, but unnoticeable.
