Antique Edwardian ring with moonstone and diamonds, breathtaking, c1910. The gorgeous, blue-tinged moonstone at center is very large at 13mm by 9mm. It is framed by sixteen bezel set, rose cut diamonds (about 2.5mm each) in a glittering, raised oval.
The gallery is filigreed. Each shoulder is adorned with four tiny diamonds in a floral motif and the remainder of the shank is decorated with a leaf. Unmarked, the metals test as 14k and 10k white and rosy gold. The little side diamonds are set in sterling.
The head of the ring measures about 20mm, or 3/4" north to south by 16.5mm, or 5/8" east to west. The ring is size 7.75 and is sizable by your skilled jeweler.
