Antique Edwardian enameled locket with cascading wisteria blossoms, 935 silver. Beautifully enameled flowers in vibrant colors grace the front of this romantic locket. The abundant blooms are set off by the fancy swirled background, a complex guilloche enameling technique.
The interior contains two photos, lenses, and one slender frame. The back is smooth silver. The locket opens well and closes with a snap.
In very good condition with no dents, the locket has one flaw: a slender portion of the enameling along the hinge side is slightly damaged. It appears that the topmost layer has flaked off, well hidden by the gleaming surface. Please examine my close-up photos.
The locket measures 1-3/8" by 15/16". The soldered bail is marked 935, a grade above sterling silver, and a hallmark I don't recognize.
