Antique bracelet with three strands of garnet beads and a fancy garnet silver clasp. European in origin, probably German or Czech, this is a large bracelet with rich red color and interesting textures. The flowerlike silver closure, about 1" around, has seven cabochon garnets; three strands of hand-knotted, irregularly shaped garnets, culminate in silver beads and a sturdy insert clasp. The clasp is marked 800 and has a lozenge with a maker's mark I can't decipher. The bracelet measures 8" by 3/4". It dates from about 1910-1920.
