This pretty, trim purse, which dates from the 1950s or `60s, is in virtually flawless condition. While it may look black, it's actually a very glossy charcoal, almost like hematite. It isn't marked but it looks French or Belgian to me, definitely European.
A raised, beaded bar rises above the frame and round, raised beaded clasp. The body is studded with a pattern of contrasting black beads that appear to stand out. It has a snake chain and pale greyish-gold lining.
There are absolutely no damaged areas to the beading and the lining is almost perfect. It has two pockets. (Inside one pocket is a spot from a sticky label that was removed. I only see one other teeny spot on the lining.)
Measures 5-1/2 by 7-1/4".
This would look great with a suit and heels!
