Extraordinary antique Victorian pendant/brooch in 14K yellow gold with a center malachite drop. Stunning in its complexity, rich with detail and texture, this gorgeous piece can be worn with the chain as a pendant or as brooch with the hinged bail folded down. Dating from about 1880, it bears all the characteristics we associate with lavish Victorian jewels: open-worked gold, finely applied decorations, exquisite beading, contrasting shapes, and little dangles. The center is graced with a deep green malachite stone that sets off the solid gold beautifully. Movement is provided by the dangling beads and hinged centerpiece. The c-clasp works perfectly.
Measuring 2" by 1-1/4", this treasure is the perfect size to show off your décolletage. It weighs 8.1g and is unmarked but tested. The condition is excellent with no scratches, dings, or dents. A new 16", 14K chain is included.
