Antique Victorian pinchbeck earrings, very long and elaborate. Fabulous in size and color, these earrings are constructed in pinchbeck, an alloy of copper and zinc formulated by Christopher Pinchbeck in the early 18th century as a gold substitute. The shapely, diverse elements show intricate designs and the earrings have a lot of movement. They are bright yellow gold in color, very eye-catching.
The earrings are comfortable in weight at 6.1g and 6.2g and the condition is excellent. They can easily be converted to wires for pierced ears if desired.
