Art Deco buddha jabot pin, jade-colored glass with sparkling clear pastes, in silver. Superbly constructed, this jabot pin is a fine example of Art Deco jewelry designed for a man or woman. The robed buddha smiles as he sits on his cushion of pastes, a round paste situated at his heart chakra and two arching rows of pastes at the crown of his head. The pull-off clutch at the bottom is arrow-shaped, studded with pastes.
The pin measures 2-5/8" long by 5/8" wide. The reverse is marked with a French boar's head for silver and the maker's mark of LC within a horizontal diamond-shaped lozenge. There are also inventory numbers, 1031. The back appears to be rhodium-plated.
The condition is excellent.
