Art Deco German earrings with carnelian, rose paste, and marcasites in sterling silver. This magnificent pair exemplifies the fine work of German jewelers in the 1920s-'30s before WW2. Rich in color, texture, and pattern, the earrings combine honey-colored carnelian with rose pastes; sparkling marcasites in an intricate pattern of open-worked silver complete the design. The round carnelian cabochons are large at 5mm. Two areas of tiny, square ruby-colored pastes provide lovely contrast. The earrings measure 2-1/2" from the ornate ear screw by 7/16" at widest. Each earring weighs 5.6g. The ear screws are marked Sterling Germany. I'm happy to say that the condition is excellent with no missing stones, no chips, and no scratches. If you're a Deco collector, don't miss these.
