Antique Art Nouveau stickpin by George Steere, unsigned, with a dragon and amber glass stone. Steere worked in the early 1900s and much of his output is unsigned; however, his creature jewelry is unmistakeable. Here, the beautifully rendered dragon (or other fantastical creature) with a green cabochon eye is coiled around a nicely faceted, oval stone, done in gilt metal. The head of the pin is about 3/4" at widest and tallest. From end to end, the pin measures 3". The condition is excellent with no chips or scratches to the glass.
