Vintage 14K yellow gold snake ring, very wide and heavy, a real knockout. This fabulous ring features a thick, undulating band that represents the snake’s body, and is capped with a detailed, ruby-eyed head, terminating with the tapered serpent’s tail. The ring is 3/4” at its widest (meaning, in this case, north to south), otherwise between 3/8” and 1/2”. The beauty of the ring is that you can turn it to wear as you wish, with the head directly in front or off to the side. It is not marked but tests as 14K and it weighs a hefty 7.6g. The eyes are ruby colored cabochons and are probably genuine stones, too small for me to test. The ring is size 7-1/4, and you want to accommodate the width, so you don’t want too snug a fit.
