Vintage sterling silver, marcasite, and cultured pearl clip earrings by Theodor Fahrner. Like all Fahrner jewels, these are beautifully designed and crafted. The shape is a high half dome; fine openwork ribbing, tiny beading, and graduated marcasites provide contrasting textures. A creamy pearl sits at the edge, towards your face. I believe these date from the 1930s- or ‘40s, made with Fahrner’s period of “millegriff” (corded wire) technique. They are signed TF 925 and have a secure clip back. There is no obvious wear, no loss of nacre to the pearls, and no missing stones. They measure 3/4” long.
