Glorious antique Victorian or Edwardian hinged bangle bracelet with eleven genuine opals in 14K solid gold. This is an heirloom piece of captivating beauty. I sold its twin sister bangle during the holidays and am delighted to offer this one now.
The opal stones have beautiful adularescence, flashing pink, gold, aqua, blue and green, depending on the light. I took many photos to show off the bracelet’s fire, but you have to see it in person to appreciate its full range of hues. In darker surroundings the display of deep colors is gorgeous. The round cabochons are graduated from 3mm to 5mm. They are free from cracks, chips, and scratches.
The 14K yellow gold is fashioned with a dainty, patterned border around the opals. It is in excellent condition without any damage or obvious wear. Unmarked, the gold has been fully tested. The bracelet's hinge and v-insert clasp work perfectly. It closes with a snap, and there is a safety chain for security as well.
This antique treasure is slender and delicate, measuring 6-3/8” inside circumference, or 2-1/4” by 2” across the opening at the top. The width is 1/4” at widest, tapering to 1/16” in the back. It weighs 11.2g.
