Antique Georgian or early Victorian red Vauxhall glass earrings in a fancy flower design. The Vauxhall Glassworks in London, England produced gorgeous glass jewelry like this from the eighteenth century through the mid-nineteenth, and it is known for the vibrant, intense color of its mirror-like glass.
These earrings are in remarkably good condition for their age and their flaws are not readily apparent to the naked eye. Some of the petals show tiny chips and nibbles, but for the most part, the glass is in fine shape. The earrings have a gold colored metal backing as was typical of this jewelry.
They measure about 5/8” around. They have a relatively short wire, so you should consider the size of your ear lobes when purchasing.
