Art Deco treasure, c1920: here is an elaborately designed blue guilloche enamel locket pendant, featuring a central flower with leaves; a fancy ribbon bow and ornate framing; and a large flower bail, all studded with sparkling marcasites.
Marked Made in France, it tests as sterling silver with a gold vermeil border around the oval centerpiece, and there is a small maker’s mark that I can’t identify.
The centerpiece lifts out to reveal a small receptacle for your memento. The flower and leaf decoration is mounted atop the deep blue guilloche enameling and is prong set into the lid.
Turn the piece over, and you are greeted with a beautifully drawn flower with leaves on the central oval. There are no missing stones and there is no damage. It measures 1-3/4” long by 7/8” wide.
