Antique Victorian locket and matching chain in white enamel and gold fill with a faux pearl. The striping of white enamel against the gold background is most unusual and striking! The enameled links on the long chain feature this striping as well. The crisp contrast between the white and gold is fabulous.
The long, delicate chain, which measures 24”, and its 2” extension with spring ring, culminate in a fancy bail that attaches to the oval locket, 1-1/2” together. You may choose to remove the locket and wear the chain separately as another option.
A wide, embossed border around an oval enameled center with a small imitation pearl in the middle make the locket a standout. The pearl is worn but is tiny so this is not apparent to the naked eye.The reverse has three initials, LBF, and the clean interior is fitted with two protective rims for photographs.
The locket is free of dents and dings. The enameled links are in very good condition with only one link showing a small spot of wear. Under magnification you can see some areas of verdigris on the locket and chain which you may choose to remove or not bother with.
