Art Deco celluloid lapel pin with contoured shapes, painted in orange, black, brown, and grey. The long pin stem is threaded at the bottom and the end piece screws on and off. Also known as jabot pins, these were originally worn on ruffle-front shirts but made the transition to lapels and collars on dresses, jackets and coats.
It measures 3-7/8” long and is 1-1/2” at widest. Excellent age-appropriate condition. The color and form of this piece are eye-catching and can readily be worn by a woman or man.
