This gorgeous antique Victorian sterling silver locket features highly decorative layers including leaves, twisted rope, swags, stars and beading. Opulent in size and ornately adorned, it measures 2-1/4" long, including its wide bail, by 1-1/4" wide, and 1/2" high.
It is marked on the reverse JW for Joseph Willmore; a rubbed "k" for 1884-85; the anchor for Birmingham; and the lion passant for sterling. The bail has the lion passant mark as well.
The interior is missing its covers but you can easily substitute photos or plastic ovals to preserve your mementoes. All of the silver elements are in very good antique condition and there are only minor signs of wear.
