Here's a vintage Art Deco, coiled collar necklace with dark red glass stones and sparkling channel-set clear rhinestones. Since it closely resembles the work of Esha Randel and the German Deco jewelry marked DRGM, I'm guessing that it dates from the 1940s or `50s.
This well-made collar has alternating vertical stones and rhinestone-filled bars that are attached with red bead spacers and unseen wires. While the inside edge is straight, they angle outward through the middle to create interesting contours.
Relatively heavy, with gentle stretch, the necklace measures about 15" at rest, but expands to fit a larger neck. The width is about 7/8". The gold tone metal is shiny and unmarred, and there is no damage to the stones. It appears unworn.
Unmarked, but surely a high quality designer necklace.
