Hand-made – probably by a genteel young lady as a Christmas or birthday gift - this sweet little piece is formed from cardboard covered with neatly stitched silk patches which have then been decorated with black and clear beads.
The item has fourteen ‘faces’, two of which are hexagonal while the remainder are trapezoids.
The pins are inserted for safe keeping into the top, the only surface not to be decorated with beads.
Measures 1 ½ inches high and roughly the same wide at the broadest point.
Condition: some of the silk patches are frayed, there are missing beads and the cardboard is visible in places.
