Someone went to a lot of trouble with this doll, firstly by creating a fairly sophisticated costume for her (the skirt in particular is very nicely made), and secondly by applying ‘hair’ to the top of her head.
The knitted blue cardigan can be removed from the doll but the other garments cannot.
The doll has legs that are jointed at the hip and the knee and arms that are jointed at the shoulder only. Her face is painted white with pink cheeks, blue eyes and red lips, and she has a little wooden stub for a nose. Her dark brown hair is arranged in a loose plait tied at the bottom with blue ribbon.
Condition: the main flaw with this doll is her right leg which is unstable in its socket; it does come out occasionally but can be put back and made to stay in place if pushed in firmly. Other than that, she has general wear including a tear at the bottom of her sweater.
