This is definitely a French tin from approximately the 1920s/1930s. The front is very colorful and lovely with a depiction of a sort of pergola or column structure surrounded by a beautiful garden and a bird perching under a tree. The enamel is in very nice condition. There is one dent on the rim of the lid that is a mark like a knife strike would make. There is finish wear inside. The bottom reads: A La Reine Margot - Biarritz - Cauterets - Lourdes. The bottom/side each has a dent. The tin measures 6" across and is 1 1/4" deep. Although the tin is not perfect, given its age I find it to be in overall good condition.
