This pin has lots of personality and presence!
Probably the first thing you notice about it is that it is sizable! It measures 4 5/8" by 2 3/4"!
Next you see the color: light blue, raspberry pink, smoky gray, creamy yellow, grapey purple! Then the glow -- and early plastic that looks like moonglow Lucite to me. At the base of what is clearly a stylized floral bouquet is a little bumble bee that is cold painted on its body.
This piece is done in white metal. It dates to the 1930s/40s.
Some of the stones have properly darkened, conveying to you it history and past.
This is a great piece and was made by a specific designer. I learned about it years ago and regretfully, I did not save it. If my memory serves me, I think it was a CORO piece (this is not signed). The designer may have been Gene Verrechio, but I am not certain of that either. Perhaps you are more up on this wonderful pin's provenance that I....
Regardless, we all can recognize and cool and special piece from years gone far past!
