Here is another very pretty American pewter-trimmed graniteware / enamelware coffeepot / teapot! This was is actually dated on the bottom: January 4, 1881! That makes it just about 141 years old! Isn't that just mind-boggling?!
The enameling on this pot is creamier and it is darker toward the bottom that at the top. It also shows crazing (which I personally find so pretty) toward the bottom of the pot. The florals are pink with green leaves and brown branches.
There is an ancient solder at the bottom of the handle where it meets the metal band that encompasses the pot 75% of the way down. It is very strong and stable. It also looks like there is a bit of a crimp in the spout on one side where it begins to go upward. Again, not really noticeable but mentioned for your consideration. The interior of the pot shows crazing at the bottom. The enamel is in good condition with no chips.
This pretty pot measures 11" tall and 9" from tip of spout to outside of the handle.
Also, the portion of the pot that is below the band is that pewter-look metal as well.
This one makes a really pretty display piece! I will include shipping and insurance on the pricing of these. I prefer to know what my bottom line is when making a purchase that can be a little hefty to ship.
