This is a lovely 1940s piece! It is getting close to "antique-hood!"
This is commonly identified as a Alfred Philippe TRIFARI piece but only the Pat. and number (illegible and apparently an issue with these I see from my search) is marked. This one is special as it is a double bloom. Most are just singles. The shade of the poured glass is approaching periwinkle -- or the color of chalcedony even. The center stones are chunky and a magenta purple color. The metal is gold tone. The finish shows expected but light wear and overall condition is very good. This piece is a fur clip. It measures 3 1/2" by 3". It is very three-dimensional and raises up approximately 3/4" inch or a bit more (hard to measures and it raises and lowers).
It is a lovely piece! When I wear a fur clip I like to put those little rubber tips on the pins to keep them in your garment and secure so it is not moving around.
Given the amount of glass that is open in these pieces it is miraculous that it has survived 80 years! Aren't we happy about that?!
