Czechoslovakia or Bohemia, as it was known in the early 20th century, produced some of the most exquisite jewelry. The stones and beads in this necklace are all glass. It is a very unusual blue with brass fittings. Although this is a large size it is a very feminine piece of jewelry. It drapes perfectly in just the right place. (Sorry that my photo is a bit crooked.) You can see that some chain was added to extend the length of the original chain. It looks like it was done long ago. Necklace is 15 1/2" long with a 3 1/4" drop. The oval bead near the top is 1" across. Some of the original finish is worn but this necklace is just the way I like to find them. It is in excellent condition and has a spring ring clasp which is secure.
