This is an exquisite demi parure. The name is one you don't hear very often - Sonia Lee. As far as I can tell this business made jewelry for two to three years in the mid 1940's. This jewelry is sterling silver embellished with diamante and rose pink rhinestones. The main part of the brooch is a lantern shaped piece with chains above and below the lantern. It is suspended from a curved bar with a rhinestone center. The earrings are screwbacks and echo the design of the pin. The brooch is about 4" top to bottom and the bar is 3 5/8" across. Earrings are 2" from the top of the rhinestone to the bottom of the chains. Pin is signed Sonia Lee and sterling. The earrings are also marked sterling. I am not sure if the chains are sterling. They do appear to have some minor tarnish or wear. I have not cleaned this but a small cleaning will bring out the beauty of the rhinestones. I prefer to leave vintage jewelry the way I find it.
