This is one of Kunio Matsumoto's masterpieces. He was a fantastic designer for a line of jewelry in the 1970's. You can see evidence of his architectural training in his designs. This is a wonderful necklace with many different components. There is a single row of beads along one side and two rows along the other side. The beads are white and clear Lucite. They are spaced with shiny silvertone rings. There is a shiny metal plaque on that side. Connecting the single row of beads and the double row is a large plaque with an opaque Lucite center with a mottled design. This has shiny silvertone ends and measures 2" long and 1 1/8" wide. Necklace clasps along one side with a hidden clasp. It is about 23 1/2" long. The largest beads are about 15mm. Necklace is signed Trifari and Kunio Matsumoto. It is in excellent condition.
