This sterling silver brooch is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a glorious piece of jewelry. The shape is very feminine with a curve to its center. The metal has been engine turned and guilloche' enamel was laid over that foundation. The deep green around the outside edge is perfectly complimented by the white enamel but that is not all there is to this brooch. Look closely at the photos. The floral design which runs all around the top of the enamel is sterling silver overlay. This is a magnificent piece of jewelry. Brooch is 3" across and 2" top to bottom. It has an old fashioned C-clasp. It weighs about 32 grams and is in excellent condition. There looks to be a little fading of the green color at one point but this could be original. I have no way to know exactly. The brooch was made by Roden Bros. from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They are a highly respected company and have been in business since the 1890's. I am not sure if they are still in production.
