This is a rare and beautiful Juliana necklace featured in Ann Pitman's book "Juliana Jewelry Reference". It is a ball chain necklace with an Egyptian Revival design. The necklace is shown on p. 106 and the colors of this necklace are on p. 107. This design features chalk Moroccan matrix stones with white and black chatons and small black rhinestones at the sides of the longer plaques. All of the stones are glass. The longer plaques have the Moroccan stones. This color combination is elegant. Necklace is adjustable to about 16 5/8" and the longer plaques are just under 2" top to bottom including the chain. There is wear to the goldtone metal of the ball chain. Look carefully at the photos. Two of the plaques on the left side (as you face the necklace) have a little more metal at the top where they are joined to the chain. It is original. The metal color is the same throughout on front and back. If you look at the photos of this necklace in the reference book you can see that slight puddling there too. Two of the white cabs have yellowed slightly. I dreamed of finding one of these necklaces and I can say now that dreams do come true. In pricing this piece I have considered its minor flaws.
