This early Mexican silver and onyx bracelet is marked Mexico Silver. It is an outstanding example of this type of bracelet. The design is ornate. Every inch of this bracelet has metal work or stones. Each link has elaborate curls and those half spheres which are part of ancient Mayan design. The onyx stones are large and have an interesting shape. They are set into silver mounts and banded in silver wire. Bracelet is 7 1/2" long and 1 3/8" wide. It weighs about 70 grams and is in excellent condition. The push-in clasp is secure and bracelet is marked. It is in excellent condition with old patina. This is a prime example of pre 1948 Mexican sterling work.
