This necklace is a spectacular, one of a kind piece. I had a 1950's/'60's vintage necklace which was broken. The Venetian glass beads were so wonderful I took it to my local bead shop and left it there. I was stunned when I found out just what she created from that broken necklace. All of the beads except for the spacer beads are original from the necklace. The large millefiori beads have their original end caps. I have never seen anything like them and neither had she. There are art glass beads and faux pearls and blue crystals - all glass and all beautiful. She paired them with a combination of shiny and textured silvertone loops. The necklace is asymmetrical as you can see from the photos. Every place you look there is another wonder to behold. And then there is the magnificent tassel at the center front. There is even a tassel at the back of the neck so it is perfect for evening wear. There is no clasp, just slip it on and you are good to go. The main part of the necklace is about 32" long. The tassel is 3" long and the little back tassel is 2 1/4" long. She also created two pairs of earrings from the beads. One has the gray faux pearls and the other the faux pearls and a blue art glass bead. The earrings are for pierced ears. There are five beads that have an aurora borealis coating. That coating is wearing off but it does not detract from the beauty of this necklace. I am sure you will have much pleasure from wearing this necklace and the earrings and will have many compliments when you do. All pieces are in excellent condition.
