This two tone black necklace and earrings demi parure is by Kunio Matsumoto. He was an architect who designed a line of jewelry for Trifari in the 1970's. This is particularly nice because it can be worn for daytime and can easily transition into evening wear. I had the necklace once before but have never had the matching earrings. I am calling it two tone because the larger part of the enamel on the necklace and the earrings is a matte black while the smaller part is a shiny black. The design is simple yet elegant with fluid lines and a bit of open space. The necklace measures about 17 1/2" and has a snake chain with a fold-over clasp. The centerpiece is about 4" across the top and 1 3/8" at the widest part. The clip earrings are 1 3/8" top to bottom. Both the necklace and one of the earrings have the double signature. All pieces are in excellent, like-new condition.
