The Pied Piper of Hamelin by Robert Browning is a lovely facsimile reprint from the mid 1900s to 1970 of a book originally published in 1888 (no date in book, but predates ISBNs which started in the early 1970s). Delightful full-color illustrations by Kate Greenaway throughout.
It's the classic tale of the town of Hamelin overrun by rats and a pied piper who appeared and offered to rid the town of rats for a dear price.
Published by Frederick Warne and Co., Ltd., London and New York, 48 pages. It is a dark green hardcover book with pictorial front and back covers. The corners are bumped, otherwise fine. It appears to be missing the first page. Pages are clean and the binding is tight. The book measures 10-1/8" tall x 7-1/2" wide.
