Vintage tinplate store scale was made by the Berlin, Germany company, Efzet in the 1950s – 1960s. It is painted in robin's egg blue enamel. The red letter Efzet decal is found on both sides of the scale.
When the platform is depressed, the curved opening in the top of the scale shows a red metal needle that moves from 0 to 70. There is a needle on both sides of the scale so the shopkeeper and customer can read the results.
Made for a doll size general store, it measures 4" tall x 5" wide x 2-1/2" deep and is in excellent condition.
