State of the art for its time, this German crystal radio was a source of pride in the 1920s and 30s dollhouses. It is made of black painted tin and has a paper face with gold dials and knobs. A glass bulb is mounted in the top. It comes with the original soft metal earphones that are attached by gold string. A separate cast metal speaker that is painted light brown with a black base also has the original gold cord and metal plug.
Made in a large 1" scale, the radio measures 1 5/8" t x 1 1/2" w x 7/8" d. It has some missing paper on the left front. The earphones measure 1" t x 7/8" w and the speaker is 1 7/8” t x 1” w x 1” d. It is marked, “Germany” underneath. The plug may have been soldered to the base. The set is in very good condition with light paint wear.
