Charming 7" Native American souvenir girl doll purse is from the 1950s. The top half of the doll including her head and arms are made of rubber. The bottom half is a wool felt skirt that doubles as a purse complete with a metal zipper in the back. A matching felt hand strap is sewed to her back.
She has a nicely painted face and black yarn hair that is braided in pigtails and tied with red plastic ribbon. She is wearing a wool felt beaded headband and red beaded necklace. Her red blouse has long, puffy sleeves and is cinched at the waist with a navy blue felt cumberbund with rick rack trim. Her skirt is tan wool and is decorated with yellow and grey felt circles and a grey bird as well as 3 bands of multi-colored rick rack trim.
She is 7" tall. Her oblong purse base is 4 1/2" wide x 3 1/4" deep. Paper label on bottom reads, 'America'. She is in excellent vintage condition.
