Antique German dollhouse enameled metal canopy bed and nightstand are charming pieces to display in your early 1900s bedroom. The bed has a rounded head and footboard with bent wire canopy. Pierced tin sides, head and footboard add interest as does the light blue and cream lace edged bedspread, pillow and curtain.
Made in a large 1" scale, the bed measures 8" t x 3 3/4" w x 7" d and is in excellent condition with very little paint wear. The fabric is slightly soiled (dusty) and could be gently cleaned.
The matching nightstand has a paneled door that opens and a stationary drawer above. It has an unusual feature – a hole in the center of the table top and a hole in the side presumably so one can add an electrified lamp and hide the cord. It measures 3 3/8" t x 2" w x 1 5/8" d and is in excellent condition as well.
No markings on the set, but could have possibly been made by Marklin.
