Strombecker, an American manufacturing company from the early 1900s, began production of wooden 1" scale dollhouse furniture in 1931. This range was added to their first kitchen line in 1933. They produced living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furnishings. It proved to be a successful venture and production continued until 1962. They produced a wide variety of doll house furniture and accessories in both 1" scale and 3/4" scale (added in 1934) mirroring the decorating tastes of the times.
