This antique chocolate pot features hand painted birds and flowers. The pot is painted with a blue bird in flight over a marshy landscape. Tall grasses and flowers are growing up from a blue water at the base of the pot. The pink and white flowers extend up the entire height of the pot and form a natural border at the rim. The pot is trimmed in gold and the handle and finial are decorated in gold.
There is wear on the gold trim and the 2 tabs that protect the lid from falling located at the inner rim have chips. Otherwise the small chocolate pot is in very good condition. Its free of additional chips, cracks, repairs and crazing. It measures approximately 6 1/2" high x 5 1/2" wide from handle to spout and holds 24 ounces. The bottom is signed in red. Circa early 20th century.
