Antique German bisque head doll by J. D. Kestner ca. 1915. Mold number 249.
The doll stands ca. 23.6" (60 cm) tall. Her bisque head is free of damage or repair, no cracks, chips or restoration. The back of her head is incised “JDK Made in Germany 13”. She has an open mouth with 4 teeth, an old human hair wig and brown glass sleep eyes with fully operational eye mechanism. Some small eyelids paint scratches are repaired. Wood and composition body in good condition. Legs are hold with original metal springs inside.
This lady is wearing an old cotton dress, a batiste chemise and leather shoes.
