Offered for your consideration is this beautiful and vintage advertising coffee mug made in the 50’s/60’s by the Hall China for the American Vitrified Products Company, Amvit.

Amvit started out in 1886 as the Grand Ledge Sewer Pipe company in Grand Ledge Michigan. It primarily made sewer and drain tiles using a vitrified clay process.

Subsequently, it was bought by the American Sewer Pipe Company of Ohio and, eventually, became the American Vitrified Products Company, or, Amvit.

This well made mug reflects the clay and pipe products made by Amvit, and is a nice advertising piece for America’s pottery industry.

It’s in wonderful condition and measures 4 1/4” H, with a clay pipe motif.
